Treatment summary
This case shows a dramatic smile transformation addressing a severe bite issue and dental crowding. In the initial "before" presentation, the patient had an anterior crossbite, where one of the upper front central incisors was severely trapped and locked behind the lower front teeth. This caused an uneven smile line, deep bite tendencies, and heavy crowding in both the upper and lower arches.
Treatment Strategy
Using our specialized digital planning software, we engineered a custom strategy to safely unlock the tooth and align the bite:
Creating Space: Using controlled arch expansion to make room for the crowded teeth.
Correcting the Crossbite: Moving the trapped upper front tooth forward (labially) into its proper position over the lower teeth.
Leveling the Smile Line: Aligning all upper and lower incisors to create a perfectly flat and balanced biting plane.
The Result
The post-treatment outcome demonstrates full clinical success. The anterior crossbite has been completely corrected, and the trapped tooth is now perfectly aligned with the rest of the arch. Both the upper and lower teeth are completely straight, creating a wide, healthy, and highly aesthetic smile.
